Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Do you allow drop off or pickup outside of your listed business hours?
A.  AM hrs. are 7-9:30; PM hrs. are 4-6.  We are closed promptly at 9:30 AM and 6 PM for drops and pickups.  Always call if you are running late.  At 9:45 AM & 6:15 PM you will incur a $15 fee then $1 per minute forward.

Q. What vaccinations do you require?
A. Howling Hill documents proof of the following vaccines
Rabies
Distemper (DHPP)
Bordetella Vaccine (kennel cough)
Please bring proof of current vaccines and we can make a copy here for your dog's file.

Q. What should I send with my dog for his day?
A. LEASH- please have your dog arrive on a leash.
FOOD:  portioned and labeled if your dog needs lunch.
BELONGINGS: There is no need to send bowls, beds, blankets or toys from home.  We have more than enough of our own to make your dog comfortable, too many belongings from home make it hard to keep track of things, and we never like sending home torn bedding.
MEDICATION: Don't forget your dog's medications, we will talk about administration and write it down upon arrival.

Q. How old should my dog be to come play?
A. A pup should be about16 weeks old.  We don't have a puppy playgroup at this time, so with dogs this young we can evaluate based on the individual puppy whether they are ready for group play.  A 15-16 week evaluation and then most pups seem good to go!

Q. Does Howling Hill provide food for dog guests?
A. A nap time treat is provided by Howling Hill as long as the dog has no food allergies.

Q. Do you have a separate space for non-social dogs?
A. No. Your dog should be comfortable sharing play areas, toys and water dishes other
dogs.  Dogs with any history of aggression towards humans and other dogs will not be permitted to visit.  If your dog shows any unfriendly or unsafe behaviors: such as fence climbing or other ways of escaping, they will not be allowed to attend daycare.

Q. Do you accept un neutered and unspayed dogs?
A. Adult dogs should be spayed and neutered in order to join the play groups.  Please let me know of your spay and neuter plans for your puppy durning our meet and greet.
